Strength is a mindset! How do I lift over 500lbs at over 50 years of age?

While I absolutely acknowledge that consistent training, recovery, and eating right are very important ingredients of strength, I believe mindset can help you lift 20-30% more.

Believe and achieve! Like classics Norman Vincent Peale’s THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING and Napoleon Hill’s THINK AND GROW RICH both teach, success comes from positive expectation.

Whether it is lifting a new personal record at the gym, breaking a sales record with your company, or having a fantastic marriage, they all are achievable with the right mindset.

Like we used to say at The Air Force Academy (many many years ago for this old guy): “Change your attitude and you can change your altitude.” So if you want to climb high in life, learn to recognize how you think and shift gears towards positive expectation and more limitless ideas.

I hope this helps you now and in the future become the best version of you.

And now you know why I often sign off “strong is young” because that’s my mindset and believing that helps me become it.
